Meet the owner, Melissa Barton BS, CPT-BASI
Melissa is the proud owner & director at North County Pilates. With over 18 years of experience, studying and teaching Pilates, Melissa is the go-to teacher in North County and beyond.
She made it her mission to truly understand everything about how our bodies move and exist. She attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, receiving her BS in Kinesiology, the study of movement within the human body. Melissa went on to earn her certification from the prestigious BASI Pilates training with Karen Clippinger, at Cal State Long Beach.

Conveniently located off the101 on Traffic Way, between Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo, we are nestled in a gorgeous, light-filled brick studio built in 1926, home of the original Atascadero Fire Station.
We have a public parking lot directly next to us with ample street parking, and are surrounded by exceptional food, cafes, wine bars and shops.
